Deven and Ressurrection, founders of Glory Soldiers Global, a domestic and international missions-ministry which focuses on ending poverty and child sexual abuse, are celebrating their nuptials at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC on August 28, 2013 – the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech.
The couple met in a homeless shelter in Virginia on August 28, 2011. Deven is a US Military Veteran, and Ressurrection is an entrepreneur and celebrity massage therapist. They are in love, living in a nurturing home environment, and working with other homeless individuals and families. The public is invited to share in this momentous occasion as a testimony to Dr. King’s legacy that we shall overcome poverty and reach back to help someone do the same. The wedding colors are blue, purple, and silver.
In lieu of a traditional wedding reception, guests will enjoy a “picnic” style gathering. Attendees are invited to bring a blanket and food to share. Deven and Ressurrection will pay homage to Dr. King’s Poor People’s Campaign by feeding the homeless after their wedding ceremony.
