Do You Have a Love/Hate Relationship with Your Job?

I see you! Even as you try to shrink from the spotlight.

I get you! You know you deserve more but you aren’t sure how to attain it.

I understand you! Your fear has joined forces with your emotional attachment, but you want to leave your job…most of the time but not all the time.

You know the importance of strong boundaries and are aware of the warning signs of compassion fatigue and professional burnout, but you somehow ended up in this bowl of toxicity.

When I say, “I’ve been there and done that”, it is not to minimize your struggles or to suggest that leaving your toxic workplace will be easy. (It won’t be easy.) I say that because I know the emotional rollercoaster ride well because I was on it for years. I say it because I know that you got into this work to make a difference and you have put your heart and soul into what you do – because I did too. I know your situation intimately. I respect it immensely.

I am not someone who will just give you generic job search strategies and hope you can use them to level up in your career. I understand the human services industry deeply. Not only do I have a master’s degree in social work, but I also spent years working on interdisciplinary teams and have used my skills and training across human services sectors including education, public health, and child welfare. I have successfully navigated this world and assisted my clients, staff, colleagues, interns, and students do the same. I will provide you personalized, intentional strategies to help you make more money, have more impact, and preserve your mental health at the same time.

I care about you as a person and not just as a professional or a client:

  • I understand that you have a hard time prioritizing your needs.
  • I understand that you care deeply about your clients and maybe even your colleagues or staff.
  • I understand that you’re mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted but you show up and get the job done.
  • I understand that you’ve been force-fed the narrative that you’re “in it for the outcome, not the income”.
  • I understand that sometimes it hard to implement your own good advice.
  • I understand that you have multiple competing priorities.
  • I understand that life happens and sometimes you must slowdown to speed up.

You deserve the same love, care, and concern that you give. I am here to help the helper. My job is to serve the woman who is used to serving others. I want to assist you in taking back your power while you continue to empower others.
