I Had A Long Talk With Myself

December is always a month of reflection for me. I’ve been super busy and driving a lot which leaves me a good bit of time to think. I had a 26-minute ‘my heart to my heart’ conversation with myself this week about my past, present, and future. How do I know that it was 26 minutes long? Because I was using the voice recorder on my cell phone. It was a great chat – not overly critical, no harmful language, no name-calling, no pacifying myself, but a lot of honest accountability, asset inventory, and encouragement. I emailed the voice note to myself just in case I unintentionally delete the original message. Of course, there are things I plan to do differently in the new year, but I feel really good about my skills, experiences, intentions, and possibilities. Evolution is constant and I am embracing it.

I came across this meme on Instagram:

Which door would you choose?

Blue Door: You go back in time and fix all your mistakes

Red Door: 10 mil in hand

What is your choice and why?

I am who I am because of the lessons learned from my mistakes. They’ve already been fixed because I took responsibility for them, utilized them in positive ways, and used them as cautionary tales for those I care about. No need in trying to rewrite the past. I would choose the red door with the intention of taking the money and immediately implementing my current dreams and goals which will result in increasing my impact, influence, and income.
