This week I want to share Time of Essence with you. Essence Magazine was, and still is, a staple in Black households around the country. From generation to generation, Essence has shown us elevated Black culture, style and beauty.
Now, OWN Spotlight is thrilled to present Time of Essence. Time of Essence is a five-part docuseries celebrating Essence Magazine, which has informed and reflected Black culture in America since its founding in 1970. The series premiered on August 18, 2023. #TimeOfEssence
Each episode covers a different decade, with first-hand commentary on that era’s biggest moments—straight from the trailblazers and icons who lived and defined them.
This candid commentary will be coupled with never-before-seen footage and exclusive, behind-the-scenes moments from the worlds of entertainment, sports, politics, fashion, and beauty.
The inaugural episode was amazing and I am definitely on the bandwagon. Each episode promises to inform, inspire, motivate, and empower you to follow your passion and walk in your purpose.
