Happy New Year’s Eve Eve!

At the end of each year I take time to reflect and plan.  I often write blogs about the lessons I learned during the year.  This year has been a year unlike any other.  It was tough in many ways both personally and professionally.  This year there weren’t new lessons I learned.  2016! It was a year of reconfirmation – repeated lessons returning my way.

Here are the top 5 lessons I revisited in 2016:

  1. Self-care is essential

2. How you view your circumstances impacts your circumstances

3. There is a  difference in the role of a manager and the role of a CEO

4. I am a huge proponent of internships

5. I use my social work degree daily
