My internet homepage is a double-edged sword, but I realize that I control the algorithm. Some articles I find interesting and excitedly share them with you. Other times I read articles that make me furious. The algorithm then shows me more articles that make me angry. You get the point. This was super troubling during the 2020 election and January 6 Insurrection when I really needed to detox but read every article that showed up on my homepage.

Working long hours will literally kill you, new research says
The WHO announced the findings based on a global study that reviewed how working long hours was connected to death, per Reuters. The findings — published in the medical journal Environment International — found 745,000 people died from a stroke or heart attack because of longer work hours in 2016, according to Reuters. The research suggested people suffered more strokes and heart attacks because of longer work hours.
