What exactly is a career coach?

The field of career coaching is vast. Some people think that a career coach simply writes a good resume but that is a resume writer. Other people think that a career coach finds you a job but that is the role of a head hunter. A career coach not only helps clients discover their strengths and interests but also uncovers any potential blocks or potential employment issues. A career coach understands that landing the job of your dreams involves setting clear goals and action steps, utilizing nontraditional resources, making wise decisions, and building a professional brand that includes a strong social media presence.
