The Sankofa Project presents a round table discussion led by Dr. Maurice A. Butler, author of Demons in the Closet. Demons in the Closet is a fictional story of three women who struggle to cast off the demons of their past in order to become productive women in society. It is gut wrenching at times, intriguing and a great book about overcoming adversities.
Join a panel of professionals for a round table discussion centered on issues raised in the book, including, but not limited to, domestic abuse, sexual assault, child abuse, foster care, and breast cancer awareness. I am honored to commemorate National Foster Care Month by serving on the panel to provide insight on the challenges with and opportunities for improvement of our foster care system.
