I want to take the time today to recap my leadership philosophy:

1. Leadership is a privilege
2. Leadership is about impact and influence, not a title
3. Leadership is earned, not demanded
4. Leadership is about transformation, not transactions
5. Great leaders create more great leaders

Have you confirmed your leadership core values or determined your leadership philosophy?  Set your leadership compass. Dedicate time today to decide how you want to lead and the ways you will stand on your leadership decisions. Leadership begins within which is why I believe this is a valuable exercise for long-term, successful leadership as leadership.

Are You Listening? Great Leaders Accept Feedback

Much of our leadership training focuses on how to give feedback and not how to receive feedback. Even great leaders fall short in some areas or circumstances. It’s part of being human. Constructive criticism is just as important as encouragement and praise as you strengthen your leadership skills.
