Happy Social Work Month!

March is National Social Work Month.

Social Work Month 2024 Theme: Empowering Social Workers!

During Social Work Month, let’s join NASW to raise awareness of the social work profession and highlight the need for the government, regulators and employers to work to improve pay for social workers as a way of investing in addressing challenging social issues. Because social workers deserve better compensation for the important work we do!

Every day during Social Work Month 2024, I will share one career empowerment tip. Follow me on social media (@NickiSandersCEO) for the daily tips and details.

I bring you daily social work tips from days 9-12 in this video:

Day 9: Being overworked is not a badge of honor

Day 10: It’s not bragging if it’s true

Day 11: Macro, mezzo, and macro social work are all real social work

Day 12: You always have the option to change course

My purpose is to dismantle the outdated, narrow view of social work so that social workers are empowered to believe they can do anything they want to do professionally with their degrees. We are transforming the social work profession by elevating our expectations, building our brands, and positioning our power.
