Welcome November: New Challenges and New Experiences

Welcome to November 2023!

Yesterday’s career tip for Career Tip Tuesday with Nicki Sanders was to “Heed The Warnings”.

Trusting your intuition in your professional life is as important as trusting your intuition in your personal life. Toxic workplaces, horrible bosses, shady colleagues, questionable clients, or even unethical competitors – there is generally an unfavorable outcome when you ignore red flags. When someone shows you who they are, believe them. Check out the “Heed The Warnings” video.

November is:

  • National Career Development Month
  • National Gratitude Month
  • National Adoption Month

I’m grateful for my career coaching clients, the faithful ambassadors and donors for our Annual Pack A Purse Drive for teen girls in foster care, and the diversity of work opportunities that my social work education, training, and skills offer.

Social Work Leadership:

I’m expecting great things in November. I have lots of new things planned to add to my “50 New Things” list. Yes, I stopped counting and have no idea how many new things I’ve done LOL.

TODAY, I kick off my 30-day daily “Outdoor Video Challenge” on social media. I am making a commitment to:

  1. Spend time outside every day in November, regardless of the weather, because I’ve been walking a lot less over the past couple of months.
  2. Post one new video every day for the next 30 days. I have a lot of new followers and want to use November as a time to share more about who I am, what I do, and why I do it.
  3. Continue to show up as a social work thought leader challenging the narrow, outdated view of social work.

Join me on social media for the daily videos. @NickiSandersCEO

Share them with a friend and feel free to send me questions or topics you want me to cover!

What are you looking forward to this month?

I committed to sharing my social work journey and offering insight and information to help other social workers at every stage of their career build a long-term, successful career that they love and on their own terms. Set up a 20-minute consultation and let’s chat about how I can support you on your leadership journey.
