Many majors require students to complete an internship.  Paid internships are the goal but I recommend students complete an internship even if it is unpaid and not mandatory. I am an experienced Human Services Professional. In addition to my work experience and workforce development research, I received my Masters of Social Work degree from University of Maryland, Baltimore with a concentration in Management and Community Organization and a specialization in Social Action and Community Development. I am available as a guest lecturer for both graduate and undergraduate courses in Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Public Health, Human Relations, and other related human services fields.
