Are You Really Showing Up For Yourself?

What limiting beliefs, baggage, or hang-ups do you need to release to level up in your career?

Confession (in my Usher voice): At my last job, our office dress was casual if we did not have meetings or were not out in the field. If an ‘important’ person showed up at our office unexpectedly or my ED did not tell me she had scheduled meetings and I was in jeans, I would not leave my office! If she brought the guest to my office to meet me, I would not get up from behind my desk while they were there – even if my ED was in jeans and tennis shoes. And truthfully even on our most casual days, I would not have worn ripped jeans to the office, yet, I’ve seen millionaires teach from the stage in jeans and attended industry conferences with executive-level attendees in jeans.

Know who created this standard of professional attire I followed? ME… but balance is the new goal!!

I’ve made a lot of videos and posted a lot of selfies and livestreams over the last couple of years. My selfies and livestreams are purposeful and intentional. Of course, as an entrepreneur people need and want to see you and get to know me, so I do what needs to be done to advance my business. That’s not the real reason for the change though. I spent years avoiding cameras and hiding in the background then I decided I’m done. Technically showing up in person for my business is showing up for myself because It’s MY business but I’m showing up for my authentic self. So enjoy seeing more of my smiling face LOL.
