I’ve developed and managed successful programs. I’ve facilitated powerful youth and adult groups. I’ve formed and led strong multidisciplinary teams. I’ve taught courses and delivered trainings that allow students and professionals to tap into their strengths and advance their skills and careers. I am great at what I do and everyone who knows me knows that!

Who doesn’t know that and needs to be informed of my greatness?

  • I love farms and barns
  • I love nature and sustainability
  • I love social work and social work students
  • I love leadership and organizational development
  • I love working with interns
  • I love teaching and training
  • I love coaching
  • I love women’s empowerment
  • I love being in community and building safe spaces
  • I love traveling
  • I love learning

I’m a multi-passionate entrepreneur.

I asked myself last week why I have accepted being the “best-kept secret” when I am great at what I do. I think the answer that I received today is that I am not shouting this from the rooftops because I haven’t decided what I TRULY what to be known for at this season in my life. I am the queen of “connecting the dots”, but just because I do something well or enjoy it doesn’t mean I want to be known for it.

I believe that we all should do work that feeds our hearts, minds, and wallets. I believe that we should be paid well to do the things that we love and that comes naturally to us, but the truth is that I can’t pay bills with a grateful heart. I can’t impact the world with a pat on the back. I can’t improve the quality of life for people globally by accepting compliments and congratulations. I am no longer ashamed to say that I am in this work for the outcome and the income because money is essential to building my platform.

I am always receiving new opportunities, but today I commit to focusing on my purpose and calling. Today I commit to giving up the good for the great. Today I commit to leaving my comfort zone and following God’s plan for my life, Today I commit to distracting the distractions and walking faithfully into my destiny.
