Limit Your Limiting Beliefs to Conquer Your Limitations

Limiting beliefs are subconscious thoughts that determine how we see ourselves, the world, and what is possible for us. Limiting beliefs can affect our health, well-being, and success by putting boundaries around what we consider appropriate behavior, who we connect to, and what opportunities we pursue. Limiting beliefs can make you feel less than, excluded, or incapable. If you’ve ever felt you were too tall to wear high heels, too smart to attend a party, or too inexperienced to apply for a job, your limiting beliefs were likely at play. Limiting beliefs can lead to self-sabotage.

Remember in April I decided to host the Uplevel Your Position Challenge that morphed into the Uplevel Your Position Course that transformed into the Uplevel Your Position Program? Did you join my Uplevel Your Mindset Challenge in August before I launched the Uplevel Your Position program in September? Proud of the progress!! I stopped working with my business coach last spring, but this summer decided that it’s time for me to Uplevel My Position as I help my clients do the same. What I know for sure is that when you decide to level up, the world asks how bad you want it…and I can back up that claim with stories for days LOL! The way my resistance has shown its behind since I joined this group coaching program is straight foolishness!! FOOLISHNESS, do you hear me?! But because I am committed to mindset work, I can recognize it address it sooner. As a Coach, I’ve come to acknowledge and appreciate that what I may have initially thought was for you is also for me. We are both a work in progress and I benefit as much from my teaching and sharing as you do. October is dedicated to identifying and evaluating our limiting beliefs so that we can eliminate them.

Attacking or ending your limiting beliefs takes commitment and consistency because it is easier said than done. Check out these strategies to help you overcome your limiting beliefs:

Assess

  • Consider how and when the limiting beliefs show up.
  • Determine if this belief is serving you in some way or served you well in the past.

Question

  • Ask yourself how this belief is holding you back.
  • Ask yourself if your belief could be wrong and what is the best case scenario.

Decide

  • Create a new belief to counteract the limiting belief
  • Test the new belief with action

What limiting belief are you working on today?
