THANK YOU for being a part of our community. We want to keep you informed of our 2013 strong finish as well as new happenings in 2014. Let’s look back to move forward.

The Teen Toolbox, LLC was formed as a sole proprietorship by, Nicki Sanders, in February 2007. Our mission is to help teenagers make a smoother transition into adulthood and become economically independent. Since 2007, The Teen Toolbox has been delivering youth workshops and seminars that help teens learn the fundamentals of success and how to incorporate those practices into their daily lives. Our clients include schools, churches, mentoring organizations, social services department, and community centers. Participants in our programs uncover their strengths, learn critical life skills, develop confidence, and progress toward their goals. In 2012, we began to offer professional development training for educators, youth workers, and parents. We also provide workforce readiness and career exploration programs for Generation Y – young adults aged 18-24.

We believe in and operate from the positive youth development framework. Throughout the years, we have offered various opportunities for youth to earn community service hours by supporting the military, emergency responders, hospitals, and earthquake victims. We have encouraged youth to explore their world through various field trips and encouraged them to stay in school through diverse academic enrichment activities. Many youth have been recognized for their contributions to the community through our ‘SPOTLIGHT Teen of the Month’ honor. This recognition aids us in our goal of eliminating negative stereotypes of teens and celebrating good deeds.

The Teen Toolbox is deeply committed to developing programs that support teens in foster care in creating life-long connections and achieving economic independence. The Teen Toolbox sponsors two annual drives/events to raise awareness about the issues faced by youth aging out of foster care and to show foster teens that someone cares:
Pack A Purse™ (December) – To date 1,565 purses and personal hygiene item s have been donated to 34 organizations (six holiday seasons).
Pack A Backpack™ (May) – To date 251 backpacks and duffel bags and personal hygiene items have been donated to 9 organizations (two holiday seasons).
