S.O.F.T. Leadership™: Dismantle the Conditioning and Address the Conditions

Leadership development has long focused on the individual.

The intent was to make the leader better.

More self-aware.
More flexible.
More resilient.
More loyal.

But leadership doesn’t happen in a vacuum.

The conditions matter, too.

The culture.
The policies.
The expectations.
The relationships.
The resources.
The power dynamics.
The systems.

Because I refuse to develop an incredibly capable leader and send them back to an environment that makes it difficult for them to thrive.

I’ve seen this happen throughout my work.

And it’s why I stand on my belief that transforming the individual isn’t enough.

S.O.F.T. Leadership™ addresses the leader and the workplace.

It confronts the leadership conditioning that teaches people to equate leadership with carrying more, sacrificing more, and needing less.

And it addresses the conditions that reinforce those behaviors.

Otherwise, we’re simply helping people become better at surviving the very environments that are depleting them.

S.O.F.T. Leadership™ dismantles the conditioning and addresses the conditions.

Both matter.
Both have always mattered.
