Who Is Generation Y?

Facebooktwitterpinterestlinkedinmail

Generation Y are also known as millennials. People born between 1977-1990 or 1981-2000 depending on who you ask. There are many negative stereotypes about millennials including entitled, lazy, selfish, and slackers. After spending many, many years with Gen Y’ers in my home as well as in the work place hiring, training, managing, and teaching I disagree with those negative stereotypes. I see Generation Y as creative, independent, ambitious, and confident. Our most educated workforce to date has been shaped by structured activities, diversity, technology, blended families, school shootings and terrorism. In my experience, millennials are seeking to be acknowledged, challenged, and fairly compensated for work.  Millennials are also world changers and difference makers.

If you are a millennial who is ready to discover your strengths, connect with difference makers, and achieve big goals then our Generation Y workshop series is for you.
