I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Social Worker and Career Coach Jennifer Luna for The New Social Worker Magazine’s Conversations on Social Work Careers.
Grateful that I was able to share my ideas and strategies for building a successful, long-term social work career as well as encourage other social workers to embrace the power of their education, experience, and expertise.
You know my social work philosophy:
- Define social work career success on your own terms.
- Social workers do not take a vow of poverty.
- Social work skills are high-income skills.
- Social work skills are highly transferable.
- Professional burnout is not a rite of passage.
