My Heart Is Full…Again!

When I say that you deserve a job that fills your heart, mind, and wallet, I speak from experience.

There was a time in my best/worst job when I would regularly say to myself “my heart is full” and mean it with every fiber of my being!

There was a time in my best/worst job when I was learning and creating regularly.

The salary in my best/worst job was higher than many unlicensed social workers in nonprofit agencies but I was also able to surpass that salary without a social work license.

When I say that I am living in answered prayers I mean it!

My words have power and so do yours! Speak what you seek until you see what you’ve said.

(View my Instagram reel. Excuse the profanity in the Instagram audio.)

Nature was my office on Wednesday.

I spent the day doing EXACTLY what I spoke about and posted about in March during Social Work Month!

I was willing to leave my comfort zone and be a beginner and on Wednesday I entered into the field of eco-social work in my own way – still defining social work career success on my own terms. My heart is full…again.

AND….I set the intention to facilitate workshops, trainings, and coaching sessions on a farm on a blanket on the grass. I had never thought about teaching in the environment and manner that is so authentically me until I saw a post from @jenniferransawsmith. Her post made my heart leap!

Believe in possibilities!!

You too can do work that fills your heart, mind, and wallet!

How do you define social work career success? Do you truly believe that it is possible for you and available to you?
