Nicki In Nature

Heavily populated, high-rise vacation, ocean-front resorts have their place, but honestly, they aren’t my thing

Rock climbing, parasailing, and kayaking definitely allow you to spend time in nature, but extreme sports and adrenaline rushes aren’t my thing.

I prefer to be near rivers and streams with grass and trees at their banks listening to the sounds of birds, rustling leaves, and flowing waters.

I’ve set an intention and arranged my schedule to allow me to spend time in nature several times a week – in all 4 seasons.

Being outside in nature is like coming home to myself.

I love nature…and nature loves me back!

Nature loves you too:

  • Being outdoors helps increase your focus and cognitive ability.
  • Breathing deep breaths outside helps boost your immune system.
  • The sun provides vitamin D and helps with depression.
  • Water helps you feel calmer.
  • Hiking/walking increases endorphins and helps alleviate stress.
  • Listening to birds and nature sounds lowers cortisol levels.
  • Spending time in nature can lower nervous system arousal.
