I’m grateful to those of you who joined me in our Week of Gratitude.

Here is a recap of how we expressed our gratitude this week in case you missed it. And feel free to hit reply and share what you are grateful for.

We’re celebrating all month long since November is National Gratitude Month!

Day 1: Gratitude for the people who have been most instrumental in helping me advance in my career

I am grateful for the diversity of the amazing women that are a part of my professional network. I appreciate the encouragement, support, and permission to be authentic. You Rock!!

Day 2: Gratitude for a great idea or divine download received in 2022

I’ve wondered if I’m playing big or just not as small as yesterday. I’ve set goals that stretched me and achieved other goals with ease, grace, and favor. I know that I am not alone in my thinking and I missed being in the company of amazing women.

I am grateful for the divine download to offer “Are You Really Saying YES To Your Social Work Career Success” Virtual Workshop on 12/1/22 at 6:30pm. The Black Friday/Early Bird investment is $49 through 11/29/22. You can enroll on my website.

Day 3: Gratitude for an important goal achieved this year

I love social work and I love teaching. I also love working with students and interns. I am grateful that I achieved my goal of speaking with more social work students this year. I have been able to present to social work students in the social work programs at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, Winthrop University, and Alabama A&M University. I was also able to deliver my ‘Social Work for LIFE’ presentation to students through the Ontario Association of Social Workers.

Day 4: Gratitude for the ability to rest, relax, and rejuvenate

I am grateful that I can prioritize my self-care on this Self-Care Sunday and develop a lifestyle where I can center my needs. I am grateful for the realization that I deserve to live an abundant life of joy, ease, and flow, and reject hustle and grind, professional burnout and compassion fatigue, and lack and scarcity.

Day 5: Gratitude for teamwork, collaboration, or support you have received.

I am grateful to the many donors, volunteers, and supporters who have joined with us in our Annual Pack A Purse™ Drive for teen girls in foster homes, group homes, and homeless shelters.

Because of the collaboration and support we have received, our Annual Pack A Purse™ Drive has collected and distributed 8,310 purses (plus many hundreds of wallets and cosmetic bags) to 72 youth-serving organizations over 15 holiday seasons (2007-2021).

Our 16th Annual Pack A Purse™ Drive ends on December 3, 2022.

Day 6: Gratitude for something in your job or career that brings you fulfillment.

I am grateful for the privilege of entrepreneurship. My Master of Social Work degree has given me the option to select work that fills my heart, mind, and wallet. I can earn an income from any place in the world where I have a computer and an internet connection.

I love Nicki Sanders Leadership Consulting.

Day 7:  Express gratitude for the learning, growth and expansion you’ve experienced this year.

Elevation is my word for 2022 and it has been my guide throughout the year.

I have elevated in many ways including:

  • My mindset and acceptance of new personal and professional possibilities
  • My health and healthy lifestyle practices
  • My decision to embrace virtual conference and workshop presentations
  • My decision to follow my own unique path into eco-social work

I am also at the beginning stages of my ‘Journey to 50’ where I happily engage in 50 new experiences before my 50th birthday in 2023.

Gratitude Week Wrap Up: Happy Thanksgiving

I am grateful for you!
