Every Month Is Social Work Month

The primary mission of the social work profession is to enhance human well-being and help meet basic and complex needs of all people, with a particular focus on those who are vulnerable, oppressed, and living in poverty.

The 2019 Social Work Month theme of “Elevate Social Work” to begin a conversation on how to boost the pay of social workers, which continues to fall behind that of other helping professions.

Social Work Management Week recognized Social Work Managers from March 11th – March 15th.

On March 19th we celebrated World Social Work Day.

Although National Social Work Month officially ended on March 31st, Social Workers make every month Social Work Month. We will continue to “elevate social work” 365 days a year.  We will continue to do this essential work.
